RedLink Public Housing Evaluation

By 26 September 2017No Comments

JSA is currently undertaking an evaluation of the first two years of the RedLink multi-service centre in the the Redfern Public Housing Estate for the NSW Department of Family and Community Services (FACS).  The evaluation includes a review of the Service, door knocking and interviewing of residents in the area to understand their use of the Service.

RedLink is an integrated, place-based program seeking to increase access to a range of housing, health, legal and community services to reduce community disadvantage, increase social inclusion and improve well being, particularly to the most vulnerable and socially isolated residents.  It aims to get all the services together in one easy to use place to facilitate access by the client group.

The evaluation will assist FACS and its RedLink service partners to better understand how well the service is meeting its objectives and achieving desired outcomes for tenants and the community. The evaluation will support future planning and refinement of service directions as RedLink moves into a more mature phase of operation.
