JSA prepared a Social Impact Assessment for a proposed ‘cellar door premises’ with ancillary uses including distillery, bond store and associated site work at Berridale in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area.
The proposed ‘cellar door premises’ would have a maximum capacity of 30 patrons and include a distillery to produce high quality, boutique French brandy and whisky products in small batches for cellar door and online retail sales, with on-site consumption in a cellar door dining room to be paired with high quality food offerings produced in a cellar door kitchen.
The Social Impact Assessment considered potential positive and adverse impacts of the proposal including its contribution to the local and LGA tourism industry and economy, as well as its impact upon alcohol-related harm and amenity in the immediate and wider locality.
